DEA Executive/Representative Council

The minutes of the March 1, 2017 meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report: There is a balance of $27,149.85.
Correspondence: Information will be going out in early April for the Retirement Reception (June 1st) at the River Vale Country Club. To date, we have been notified of one retiree – Debra Fischer – Kindergarten teacher at Grant School.
Custodial: Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 13th at 6:30 pm at the Board Office with the mediator.
George Lambert: Attended meeting and spoke about Phil Murphy being endorsed by the NJEA for the Democratic Gubernatorial Primary Election. The NJEA is supporting NJEA members signing a petition for his name to be put on the ballot. You must be either a registered Democrat or an Independent willing to register as a Democrat to sign the petition.
Elections: If anyone is interested in becoming a DHS representative or a Selzer School representative, please contact Dave Cieplicki ASAP. Also, Dave announced that he will be stepping down as DEA President at the end of the next term (effective March, 2018 elections).
Board Meetings: Just a reminder that Dumont High School is the school that is scheduled to attend the March board meetings.
The next DEA meeting is Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
